Research question

Do continuity plans improve after a TTX, and relate to later team exercise response?

Method and context

Pre/post 48-item plan assessment around a blackout TTX; four assessors observed a later FSX, actually 7.4–10.2 months later (Table 3; Methods specifies 6–9 months).

Study summary

Observed team response within 6–12 months, without baseline team performance to establish retention.

Findings

Mean plan score rose from 1.74 to 1.89/5; teams completed 54–82% of expected actions. Plan and FSX scores correlated (R² = 0.78).

Contribution

Connects documentary preparedness with observed team actions.

Interpretation limits

Five volunteer pharmacy organizations, no control or baseline FSX, one plan assessor and prior experience confound interpretation. No causal retention gain, 12-month assessment or real-incident transfer demonstrated.
